Blacklisting support

An informal support network has been set up by building workers blacklisted by The Consulting Association to give themselves a coherent collective voice.

The Blacklist Support Group involves members of different construction unions, including Unite, UCATT and GMB, as well as workers who have been forced to leave the industry altogether.

With employment tribunal cases already underway, the group will investigate the prospects for further legal action, including a potential class-action claim and cases under the Human Rights Act. It will also lobby for action to be taken against the major construction firms involved.
