TUC general council

Actors’ union Equity is making a bid for all small TUC unions to have a seat on the TUC general council.

It has submitted a motion to this month’s annual Trades Union Congress to be held in Manchester pointing out that the 12 largest unions have a total of 30 seats on the body while the nearly 50 other unions have just 11 seats between them.
