Recognition law threat

The Conservatives are already threatening to repeal the law on union

recognition if they win the next election. Shortly after the law came

into force, shadow trade and industry secretary, Angela Browning,

announced her belief that repeal was "the only hope for business". Trade

unionists may now be concerned that the next election could be fought

around a platform of weakening union rights.
