NHS launches stress campaign for staff

NHS employers have begun a national campaign to combat stress in the workplace.

They have pledged to identify, monitor and manage workplace stress; to give staff information, advice and support in order to tackle its effects; and to raise awareness of the issue among politicians and the media.

The initiative comes after a Healthcare Commission survey which found that 36% of NHS staff suffered work pressure in the past year.
