Pay and prices

No change from 3.0%


Settlements appear to have plateaued for the time being.


The three-monthly median — midpoint — for collectively agreed deals from LRD’s Payline database is 3% for the fourth consecutive month.


The median by workers covered is 4.4% in the three months to April.


The midpoint in the 2017-18 pay round so far is 2.9% in the period up to April.


Official figures for the increase in average weekly earnings growth for the whole economy show the headline rise (three-month rolling average) was up to 2.9% in March from 2.8% the previous month.
