• What are the activities that are being outsourced?

• Will the services offered by the new provider be fundamentally the same? Minor differences should not matter.

• What does the tender and the bid documentation say about the services? Can you speak to the commissioning client? How does this match up to what actually happens on the ground?

• Is there an organised team, deliberately put in place to service the requirements of the client under the service contract? Is this what the team does, most of the time?

• Is it the same client before and after the transfer?

• Is the member assigned to the team?

• Does the member want to transfer or stay behind? Can new terms be negotiated before the transfer date to take them out of the transferring workforce? Get advice from your union.
