Report finds piecemeal change in the workplace
Predictions of a revolution in the way we work have been exaggerated, according to researchers working on the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)-funded "Future of Work" programme. Instead change has been piecemeal, and workers are more dissatisfied - not less - with their work-life balance. While researchers acknowledge that major changes are taking place they argue that: "Research from around the world points to...the enduring features in the structure and relations of employment."
