Anti-austerity demo

Trade unions, including the NEU, PCS, RMT, UNISON, Unite and others, along with NHS campaigners and disabled activists, are supporting the People’s Assembly national demonstration in London on 7 June.

The demonstration will unite under the banner of “Welfare not Warfare and No To Austerity 2.0”.

It will, says the People’s Assembly, “bring together a wave of opposition to Labour’s cuts to disability benefits, winter fuel payments, and proposed cuts to public services to fund increased arms spending”.

The demonstration will start at 12.00pm at Portland Place, London W1B and march to Whitehall, for a public rally.
