Acas Code of Practice on Discipline and Grievance 2009
The Acas Code of Practice on Discipline and Grievance 2009 does not apply to ordinary redundancy consultation meetings. However, it will apply to individual grievance meetings about the redundancy process (for example, allegations that it is discriminatory). Breach of the Code carries the possibility of an uplift (or reduction) of compensation (up to 25%) if either party acts unreasonably.
