In February 2024, the charity published a review of UK REACH, three years after the UK left EU REACH and established its own independent, standalone system. It says the UK’s regulation of chemicals is at a standstill, while the EU continues to make progress (albeit slowly) in banning harmful chemicals and controlling pollution at source.
