Health and Safety Law 2024

After Brexit, a 2022 amendment to the European directive on the protection of workers from risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work brought reprotoxins under the scope of the directive and added or amended exposure limit values for certain carcinogens and mutagens. Reprotoxins are chemical substances that, if inhaled, ingested, or if they penetrate the skin, can adversely affect the ability of men and women to reproduce. They pose a threat to fertility and can affect child development during gestation and after birth.
