Sunday working
[ch 10: page 226]Retail and betting shop workers have specific rights to opt out of Sunday working unless Sunday is their only working day. There is more information about Sunday working rights in LRD’s companion publication, Law at Work (https://www.lrdpublications.org.uk/lawatwork).
There is no right to extra pay for Sunday working unless the contract says so. In a unionised workplace, enhanced rates for Sunday working may have been negotiated collectively.
