Covid: Face coverings

Face coverings are not PPE. They are largely intended to protect others, not the wearer, against the spread of infection (see Chapter 1). They are not a replacement for measures to manage the risk of infection and employers should not rely on face coverings as risk management for the purposes of their risk assessments.
