[ch 4: page 34]A PCS rep at the NAO national audit office told LRD the organisation provided additional support to trainees during their exams, including the option to defer. “We believe this has reduced stress levels amongst trainees,” the rep told LRD. “We think that most people carried on with their exams, but they had support such as additional study leave, suspension of the exam policy, and flexibility in where they took the exams.”
