Interviewing
Having more than one person to interview candidates can help to reduce personal bias and ideally interviewers of different ages and from different parts of the organisation should be involved. At least one interviewer should have a broad understanding of discrimination law.
Interviewers should ask questions that are relevant to the job and do not reflect age prejudices. They should avoid questions such as: “Will you be able to work with younger colleagues?” The focus should be on competence, not age.
