Workers outside Great Britain
The Equality Act 2010 (EA 10) covers all those working in Great Britain (Northern Ireland is covered by separate legislation).
As regards workers outside Great Britain, the test is whether a claimant has a sufficiently strong connection with Great Britain (Clyde & Co LLP v Bates [2012] EWCA Civ 1207). This is the same test that is used for claims of unfair dismissal (See Chapter 10: Dismissal).
