People who had a disability but have since recovered
[ch 6: page 150]The EA 10 continues to protect someone who was disabled in the past, even though they have since recovered. For example, a woman who, four years ago, experienced a mental illness that had a substantial and long-term adverse effect on her ability to carry out day-to-day activities but has experienced no recurrence of the condition is still protected by the EA 10, because she is a person with a past disability.
