Some large employers use separate procedures to deal, for example, with capability (performance), long-term ill-health, absence management, harassment and bullying. The Acas Code does not require separate procedures to be used to deal with different workplace issues but says that, if they are, they must meet standards of natural justice and comply with the core requirements of the Code.
