Health and safety arrangements

Regulation 5 of the Management Regulations requires employers to monitor and review these measures on an on-going basis, and in response to any changes. Specifically, the employer must ensure adequate arrangements are in place regarding “effective planning, organisation, control, monitoring and review of protective and preventative measures”. As with risk assessment, these arrangements must be in writing where there are five or more employees.
