The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

The Health and Safety at Work Act etc 1974 (HSWA) sets out the basic framework for health and safety law in the UK. Under section 2 of the HSWA, employers owe a general duty of care to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all their workers. This includes mental health.
