Additional Statutory Paternity Pay (ASPP)
An employee taking APL is entitled to Additional Statutory Paternity Pay (ASSP) where:
• The mother has not used up her entitlement to 39 weeks’ SMP or MA;
• She has at least two weeks’ entitlement left;
• The employee has average weekly earnings at or above the Lower Earnings Limit (£109 — 2013 -14) over an eight-week period, ending with the due date.
