Ban on use of agency workers to replace striking workers

[ch 9: pages 263-264]

Regulation 7 of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations bans employment businesses from supplying agency workers to perform the duties of striking workers, or to cover the work of employees of the hirer who have been assigned to cover the work of striking workers. The ban only applies to official, not unofficial, action. When campaigning for the 2015 general election, the Conservative party committed to lifting this ban.
