Sickness during notice period

The law says that an employee off sick during the notice period is entitled to be paid normal full pay during that period, even if they have used up all their sick pay entitlement, unless they are entitled to contractual notice of at least a week more than the statutory minimum notice entitlement (section 87, ERA 96).
