LRD incorporation


In line with the decision of the 2018 annual general meeting (see Labour Research, June 2018, page 26), the Labour Research Department (LRD) was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on 22 June 2018. 


All existing individual members and affiliates are now members and affiliated members of the new company and continue to enjoy the same rights and benefits as before. 


The next stage is the transfer of activities and assets, which must be formally approved by a General Meeting. This is likely to be held at the LRD’s offices at 2.00pm on Monday, 17 September, with the transfer itself taking place on 30 September.
