[ch 3: page 17]Step 1a: An employer decides it wants to have a statutory information and consultation arrangement, without a request from employees.
Step 2a: The employer must inform the employees, stating that it intends to start the negotiating process, and that the dated notification is being given for the purposes of the regulations. This must be brought to the attention of all employees in the undertaking. The process then moves on to step 7.
