[ch 6: page 95]The HSE revised the ACoP on the COSHH Regulations 2002 in 2013. The main changes to the ACoP and guidance take into account changes to the law including the changes to the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals Regulations (REACH) and the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) (see pages 101 and 100).

Public services union UNISON recently published an updated guide on hazardous substances in response to the findings of a recent survey of its safety reps. This found that almost a third identified chemicals and solvents, dusts, dermatitis and skin rashes and infections as being among their top five hazards of concern at work.
