Removal of change for a “reason connected to the transfer”

Regulation 4 of TUPE has been changed to remove the reference to variation for a “reason connected to the transfer”. Instead, only changes by reason of the transfer itself are now banned. These changes will not infringe TUPE where they are made for an economic, technical or organisational reason entailing changes to the workforce (ETO reason, see below).
