You may get Attendance Allowance if you are 65 or over and:

• your disability is so severe that you need help caring for yourself or someone to supervise you, for your own or someone else’s safety.
The lower rate (covering day or night needs) is £55.65 a week and the higher rate (covering day and night needs or terminal illness) is £83.10 a week. Claims should be made on form AA1A, which can be downloaded at: www.gov.uk/attendance-allowance/how-to-claim.
