Key changes and developments since last year



• The HSE has carried out a review of regulations requiring the inspection and examination of work equipment.


• Research by the TUC and professionals Prospect union has found that women’s personal protective equipment (PPE) is often not fit for purpose.


• Dress codes requiring women to wear high heels are unlawful, but these and other discriminatory dress codes are widespread, according to a joint inquiry by the Petitions and Women and Equalities parliamentary select committees.
