Can my employer top up my pay to 100% while I am furloughed?

Unions have won many improvements through collective bargaining to ensure that furloughed workers are paid 100%, rather than 80%, of their wages, and lifting the £2,500 monthly cap on payments.

Furloughed staff at organisations including the British Museum and National Museums Liverpool, Glasgow Prestwick Airport, the National Trust, Briggs Marine (Woolwich Ferry), Rolls Royce and Transport for London all have their wages topped up to 100%.
