[ch 6: page 67]The policy needs to provide examples of harassment and bullying behaviour, so that staff are clear about the types of behaviour that will not be tolerated (see Chapter 3). It needs to spell out that bullying and harassment can occur at any level and within any relationship — and that it is not confined to management or supervision roles. It should point out that bullying can be “one-on-one”, or that groups of workers can engage in bullying behaviour. It should make it clear that the policy can extend to behaviour on and off the premises, and to all forms of bullying, including online or so called “cyberbullying”.
