If employers are going to transfer employment (change the legal identity of the employer) for any number of employees, there is an automatic duty to inform and consult employee representatives, and try to gain agreement about these changes, under regulations 13 and 14 of the Transfer of Business (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE).
