[ch 3: page 53]The basic rate of CA is £62.10 a week. You can also claim an adult dependency increase of £36.55 a week for your partner or someone who lives with you and who looks after, or helps to look after, your children. However, entitlement is affected by their income, and there is no payment if they earn £36.55 a week or more.
