Disciplinary and grievance procedures - a guide to the new law

From 1 October 2004, all employers must have dismissal, disciplinary and grievance procedures in place that comply with the statutory requirements. Failure to follow the procedures by employers or employees can affect any later employment tribunal claim, so it is vital that union reps understand the new rules.
