Lords back Appeal Court on harassment

An employer is liable for harassment carried out by its employees in the workplace, the House of Lords has confirmed.

Last year the Court of Appeal held that Bill Majrowski could bring a claim under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, an act originally introduced to curb stalking, in relation to harassment and bullying by his line manager.

His employer lodged an appeal to the House of Lords, but this has now been rejected.
