More action by teachers

The two largest teaching unions, the NASUWT and NUT, have announced further action in their joint campaign to protect teachers and defend education. This follows strike action on 27 June.

The next stage includes strike action on 1 October in the Eastern, East Midlands, West Midlands, and Yorkshire and the Humber regions.

Then, on 17 October, strikes will take place in the North East, London, South East and the South West. The unions are also planning a one-day, all-out national strike before the end of the autumn term.
