Internships

The Scottish Government is investing more than £600,000 over two years to help 150 black and minority ethnic and disabled graduates find work through paid internships in the voluntary sector.

The move follows research showing that the employment rates of disabled people are 29% lower than non-disabled people, while the employment rates for those from ethnic minorities are 15% lower than their white peers.

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) will administer the programme with the support of leading equality organisations.
