Reps support merger
The TSSA transport union’s planned merger with the US International Brotherhood of Boilermakers union (IBB) has received overwhelming endorsement from its reps.
Two-thirds of the union’s reps took part in an online ballot on the question, with almost nine in 10 voting “yes”. This meant 57% of all reps in the union were in favour of the merger.
If the merger goes ahead, the TSSA will become an autonomous British and Irish section within the IBB.
