Television pay awards


The ITV television network initially awarded all staff a 3% rise but the Bectu union has successfully negotiated a further consolidated uplift of 7.11% for all technical and creative roles on Coronation Street, meaning a 10.11% increase in 2022 for members working on that programme.


Bectu has also agreed new pay awards with production company Lime Pictures, which makes Hollyoaks, The Only Way is Essex and Geordie Shore. 


In 2022, staff will get:


• 6% for those earning up to £39,999;


• 5% for those earning between £40,000 and £70,000;


• those earning in excess of £70,000 will addressed on an individual basis; and


• an additional 1% will be awarded from 1 July for those earning up to £70,000.


Then from 1 January 2023:


• 6% for those earning up to £39,999;


• 5% for those earning between £40,000 and £70,000; and


• those earning over £70,000 will be addressed on an individual basis.
