Wales Union Learning Fund successes
The end of last month marked the 20th anniversary of the Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF).
Set up in 1999, WULF has supported over 200 learning projects with thousands of working people in almost every industry taking part. Projects have included:
• Wales-wide projects to support recently arrived migrant workers;
• specific workplace projects such as Essential Skills; and
• projects on skills, such as literacy, computer skills and the Welsh language.
Wales TUC head of learning Deri Bevan said: “The impact and legacy of WULF cannot be overestimated. It is a brilliant example of how strong partnerships between trade unions and government can help working people.”
