Inflation rates slow
November saw the slowest inflation rates for over two years. The Retail Prices Index (RPI) rate was 5.3%, down from 6.1%,.
The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) rate was 3.9%, down from 4.6%.
With a housing element, CPIH inflation was 4.2%, down from 4.7%.
“Core” CPI inflation (excluding energy, food, alcohol and tobacco) was 5.1%, down from 5.7%.
